The Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science "Research Institute of Industrial and Maritime Medicine" of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency carries out scientific research (scientific and technical activities) in the field of industrial, marine and diving medicine, ecology, biology, pathological physiology, medical and hygienic problems of ensuring safe working conditions as well as preserving the health of personnel of shipbuilding, ship repair, mining, beryllium production and processing enterprises, establishing requirements for the design, construction, operation and repair of marine equipment facilities with nuclear power plants, as well as scientific research in the field of improving the emergency response system in the event of radiation accidents and incidents at facilities, served by the FMBA of Russia.
